Billing Rates

Understanding Our Tier Structure

Your water company uses a tier structure to calculate your billing rate, per 100 cubic ft. (CCF) of water, based on your consumption as measured by your water meter.

- 1 CCF = 100 Cubic Feet of water

- 1 CCF = Approximately 748 gallons

- Usage: The number on your bill (e.g., 5 CCF) indicates how many "hundred-cubic-foot" units you used during the billing cycle

Here's how it works: Those who use more water will be billed at a higher rate as your usage pushes you into a higher rate tier, while those who use less will be billed at a lower rate. Most DDMWC shareholders will move into the Tier 2 level based on usage, but your first 5 CCF (3,740 gal.) of water consumed will always be billed at the Tier 1 rate.

You will receive an invoice in the mail from us every other month which will reflect your water consumption over the prior two months. Payment is due upon receipt. You can mail in a personal check, or you can use Zelle to send your payment directly from your bank account.
